Hard workers at the Beer Festival!

St. Albans Riding for the Disabled Association with the marquee St. Albans LEOs bought them.

Every year St. Albans LEOs join forces with the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) to make the St. Albans Beer Festival the success, which it is.

To thank the LEOS for their hard work at the festival, helping set it up, and promoting it before and during the event, the LEOs are given a cut of the profits, this is often £2000-£2500.

At the Beer Festival, the under-eighteen LEOs usually sell glasses and run the quiz and tombola (the latter for which we get the profits.) Over-eighteen Leos are allowed to work behind the bar if they wish.

This money is donated to local charities at a presentation evening where the charities are invited to receive their money. To view photos from the 2010 presentation evening and to learn about the charities who benefited, please click here.

This years Beer Festival held at the Alban Arena, St. Albans, runs from September 29th-October 2nd 2010. More can be found out about this years Beer Festival at the offical website.
